The front desk employee, Amber, was awesome and so welcoming and told us cool stories about the property which I absolutely loved since that was mainly why we stayed there — for the history! Our room was so big, such a comfy bed, amazing shower/large bathroom, and the property and the hotel building itself was absolutely amazing to walk around. I highly recommend this place! Not to mention, close to delicious food like cute retro restaurants like Wright’s Dairy-Rite, Kathy’s and downtown Staunton things like Redbeard, Cider’s from Mars, Reunion Bakery, and more.

I enjoyed the history of the Blackburn Inn and conference center. I was impressed by the staircase that led to the roof and to be able to see the surrounding areas from the roof The bathroom was very modern in design which did not take away from the history. I was impressed with the design on the website which led to picking this property for a get together with my family. There is a Bristol Café, which I enjoyed the next morning before leaving for home. The Bristol Café was also included in the website design.

The facility is beautiful, and intriguing too - I'm glad you're restoring this location! Our room was under the stairs and close to reception, which we could hear day and night - that's my only complaint. The room was attractive, comfortable and nicely refitted. The building is well kept and very attractive. We had breakfast there, which was very good indeed. I would be glad to stay here again. (My husband and I remember it as a prison - this is so much better!)

Elspeth

Really neat place with a lot of character due to it's old nature. The staircase to the observation area was very fun to traverse. Enjoy and had no issues with the rain shower. The receptionist at the time was actually very receptive and gave us a bunch of fun tips about the city since we had not been there. Seemingly like a fan of where she lived, not as a mandatory requirement.

Jeremy

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The facility was just as gorgeous as the pictures, if not better. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean, and we had such a charming view. We stayed here during our trip to Shenandoah NP since it was so close to the park entrance, so it was wonderful to hike all day and then come back to such a comfy bed each night.
